| About the
Courses |
 |
| Each student is assigned a
personal tutor who will help, encourage and guide him/her through the
course. |
 |
| The courses are divided into
modules. Each module requires between ten to twenty hours study time and
will
be accompanied by an assignment (requiring approximately ten hours) which
must
be completed and returned to the tutor for marking. This will comprise of a
set of questions. Modules in the Basic Health Sciences Diploma
course
and higher will also include clinical assignments (time to complete variable,
depending on complexity). |
 | | Each assignment is examined to
assess the students understanding and is awarded an appropriate mark. A
minimum of 65% is required for each module |
|
 |
 | | Specific books will be recommended
to complement each course and additional reading lists are available upon
request.
| | | A number of courses require
attendance for clinical practice as well as exams. These will be held on
consecutive days and at readily accessible venues in and around the North
West
and Derbyshire and are included in the course fee. Accommodation lists are
available upon request, suitable for a range of budgets.

 |
| A number of seminars, tutorials
and workshops will be available throughout the year. These are optional and
will incur an additional cost to the course fees and are dependent on
numbers. |
